"The photo was taken by Oscar Castillo of then CSUN student Evelyn Alarcon (sister of LA City Councilman Richard Alarcon). The photo was taken on the CSUN campus, 1 of 4 images taken by Castillo circa 1972. Oscar explains that he had been in Crystal City, Texas helping La Raza Unida with their campaign to elect La Raza candidate Ramsey Muniz to the Governorship of Texas. The photo was one of four different images taken to be used in the Crystal City campaign."
